The Best of Social Networking
Many people go into social networking with the head strong idea that they are going to just be able to advertise to all these people. What many marketers miss is that the reason social networking works so well is because of the power of relationship building. Just posting up your ad as soon as you run into someone is a big turn off, because then you have a become a salesman and not a sponsor or mentor.
Mentoring or sponsoring in the marketing business makes a big hit on social networking. With this method, you are in the business to help others and sincerely want them to succeed. This should be how most businesses should be ran, but unfortunately greed and ego take over many entrepreneurs and the helping hand is no longer a part of their business. This just creates numbers and no relationship, thus creating no quality in who joins your business.
People are what make a social network work. Real people and their desires, not numbers. It is for the best interest of a business and the best interest of your team and others involved with your business that you are a helping hand. The essence of social networking is SOCIALIZING! Don’t forget that people are still people and that they do care what you do and what they mean to others.
A good way to get your business going through social networks is by starting with some associates who need some more advertising or need to get to know more people, thus creating you as the mentor and a list for you to start in the social network marketing.
I have come to find out that there are many social networks that will pay to have more people join and become social members. This has become popular as a sort crossing Myspace with an affiliate program. Some popular ones are Yuwie, ZenZuu, and one up and coming 6dgr.
I have become a member of each to test this theory of networking and come to find it is very effective through my own experience. The best of these I have come to see is 6dgr, by my own opinion. The others are in the ranks of good networking, but not so fast in getting the money out. My advice is to try each and get your own opinion.
